A few days ago, my friend Michael, from Me, My Food and I, posted the most fabulous linguine with pancetta, shrimp and arugula, and to top it off, he made a video of this amazing preparation. I couldn't stop thinking about his creation, so wouldn't you know, the next day I just had to make it. The only different addition, I had a red bell pepper on hand and diced it...sauteed it to add for color, and flavor.
Michael is such a sweetheart, and a talented cook and baker...Nigella Lawson should be so proud of all of the amazing cakes that he makes from her recipes.Do check out his blog, and you'll see what I'm talking about!
I didn't have linguine, so I used spaghetti with this super amazing pasta dish. There's something strange about calling arugula "rocket"...or as the French call it, Roquette...either way, Michael was right; the peppery awesome flavor, of the rocket, adding it in at the end certainly makes this this so delicious! So thank you Michael, this is a winner for sure!
For the recipe, do visit Michael's blog, @ Me, My Food, and I , and enjoy the video, as well!

Ismét különlegességet készítettél, nagyon guszta, biztos finom, aki szereti. Én kicsit tartózkodom a tengeri "gyümölcsöktől" :)
ReplyDeleteoh my, your pasta is simply making me hungry, looks so colourful and very appealing, just like your vietnamese noodles earlier. we call arugula' rocket' here..when i first started blogging, i didnt know what arugula means until then i realised that they are both the same.
ReplyDeleteHi Elisabeth, your spaghetti is awesome and the prawns... oh my... the 2nd picture it's like 3D. Love your combo with red bell pepper, very nice attractive color.

Elisabeth,
ReplyDeleteThe colors in this dish are amazing, so vibrant and inviting. the shrimp, pancetta, and rocket pair together beautifully. I'll be making this one soon.
Very colorful plate Elizabeth! I love the combination of vegetables, seafood and pasta!
ReplyDeletearugula always adds a burst of flavor to any dish! love how you added it to pasta :). hope you are enjoying your week along with the beautiful weather!!!
ReplyDeleteMúlt hét végén voltunk egy olasz étteremben, mi is tengeri gyümölcsös linguine-t ettünk, az is nagyon finom volt, a tied mégjobban néz ki:)
ReplyDeleteI love the name Michael has chosen for his blog - perfect! This dish looks delicious and I love your addition of red pepper - a zing of colour often takes a dish from good to great :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane! :) I know, the addition of red pepper is just genius.
DeleteCsodálatosan színes étel, és mennyi finom lehetett!! A fotók pedig fantasztikusak, kedvem lenne most rögtön befalni az egész tányérral.:)
ReplyDeleteHi sweet lady...wow, this sounds delicious from first to last. I love shrimp and arugula is one of my favorite greens. Thank you for sharing. I hope you are having a wonderful Spring week!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so beautiful in this dish! We don't eat much meat but seafood is often on the menu. These shrimp look so tasty with the pasta and gorgeous veggies. I'd be thinking about dinner all day if I knew I was having this. :)
ReplyDeleteDrool!!! Extra large shrimp ... oh wait, that's an extra large pic. Still ... drool!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've just realised, how I make my shopping list these days. I visit all my favorite food blogs early in the morning, drool at the pics and decide the list :D
Next ones on the list ... shrimp and rocket.
Lovely post, Elizabeth! I never knew that arugula was called rocket, until recently when I googled “rocket”. This dish looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteKathy-it annoyed me for the longest time why call arugula "rocket?" The plastic box of the baby arugula that I bought said ROQUETTE on it, and Arugula. I guess it comes from the French term, and in Briain, Australia, and New Zealand they call it ROCKET!
DeleteAll the pictures are beautiful and your posts always make a lasting impression and .... I am drooling over the pictures.
ReplyDeletethis pasta dish looks amazing! bookmarking this!
ReplyDeleteGyönyörű látvány, étvágygerjesztő!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing so yummy good and I don't even eat shrimp!! :D It is a beautiful forkfull.
